How to Join Virginia MINT
To join the Virginia Municipal Investment Trust, please complete the following three steps:
Adopt an ordinance or resolution to join the Trust pursuant to Virginia Code § 15.2-1300. Localities are required to approve the Trust Agreement by ordinance, all other entities should approve by resolution. Elected Treasurers are exempt from this step by Virginia Code § 2.2-4513.1.
All new participants in the Trust must sign and deliver a Trust Joinder to become a participating member of the Virginia Municipal Investment Trust.
Once the Trust Joinder is accepted by a representative of Virginia MINT, the final step is to complete an account application with US Bank Global Fund Services.
